THE NOISE ENGINE

THE NOISE ENGINE is a sound installation exploring themes and ideas surrounding consumerism, destruction, noise, public/private space and perception by Glenn Wild.

The sculpture is constructed entirely from a Ford KA vehicle - destroyed and dismantled piece by piece.

This work challenges our global consumerist culture to re-imagines our sonic environment by taking an object of pollution and reinventing its purpose.

The installation was rigged with various microphones and contact microphones in order to bring to life the natural sonic qualities of the vehicle.
